During the course of the popular Noorderzon Performing Arts Festival 2015, Groningen (NL), my exhibition of sculptures was shut-down by the management after two individuals felt offended by this particular piece. The two man caused a disturbance and threatened a festival employee. With no hesitation, the management responded by closing the show until further notice, and – after some media attention- for the remainder of the festival. In the discussion following the incident the Noorderzon management was critisised for giving in to the vandals instead of supporting their artists.
